finished

all of my university applications, now to wait for the rejections to roll in. probably shouldn't have aimed so high oh well. here are some photographs of a carpark in black and white because i am so gritty and urban. HAhaHA, keep meaning to do a self portrait but i'm scared of my face

drawing

I've finally had the time to sit down and do some drawings, I'm going to do a little series of portraits :), so far i have had a really hard time drawing everyone but me. seems that I'm so vain i know exactly how my face looks, but barely notice anyone else. These are both traced images from photographs, working with pencil to explore graphical shape prints. photo's as a result of this in this post

need to darken this one of Andy, its not quite sharp enough

putting together a few bits and bobs for my online folio for uni's, have to apply for 3, still waiting for london to get back to me. anyway, need my scanner to work to get some sketchbook pages in :/

pleased with these two so far, when i have sketchbook pages in as well i should be able to do something better, i hope the universities understand my style and like it. i really want to do well next year.

Minimalism

I have been looking into angles shapes and colours withing minimalistic photography. i find it easier to capture in this way because it is what i personally find aesthetically appealing. My inspiration for this approach is Rinko Kawauchi, who takes simple, blue-tone and delicate images.

My best friend came round to assist me in carrying a bag of rat food down the road. finished a roll of film snapping him. For some reason i the exposure on all of them is crappy, i think my light meter is on the fritz. So most of these are wishy washy, but i dig that. Wish i could of got a properly nice portrait though.

also developed a thing for blurry hands and fingertips, so here are a few. i definitely need a hand model, focusing on your own hand is bloody tricky.
